I know…them, AGAIN. Yesterday, Queens of the Stone Age performed …Like Clockwork in its entirety, plus a whole bunch of older material, in a sold-out show at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. In my opinion, it kicked ass big time!!
Alex Turner was backstage, but he sure could’ve joined to sing “If I Had a Tail”. Hands down to Josh beautifully playing the piano in “The Vampyre of Time and Memory”.
The mind blowing setlist:
- “Keep Your Eyes Peeled”
- “You Think I Ain’t Worth a Dollar, But I Feel Like A Millionaire”
- “Sick, Sick, Sick”
- “First It Giveth”
- “No One Knows”
- “My God Is the Sun”
- “I Sat by the Ocean”
- “The Vampyre of Time and Memory”
- “I Never Came”
- “If I Had a Tail”
- “Turnin’ on the Screw”
- “Burn the Witch”
- “Make It Wit Chu”
- “Smooth Sailing”
- “Little Sister”
- “I Think I Lost My Headache”
- “Go With the Flow”
- “I Appear Missing”
- “…Like Clockwork”
- “Feel Good Hit Of The Summer”
- “A Song For The Dead”

I could go on and on about his career, but honestly, I don’t even know where to begin with. All I can say is that Queens of the Stone Age‘s frontman Josh Homme is awesome.
And he’s worked with Dave Grohl, John Paul Jones, Trent Reznor, PJ Harvey and so on. And he also plays drums. And he’s freakishly tall. And he can sing, dance, smoke a cigarette, have a sip of vodka while casually plays the guitar. And we were made for each other, but the universe desagrees.
Enough of drama. Below there are some pics of him – actually, I just put them for my own benefit, but you can click to enlarge them and pick up some of his style – basically jeans, boots, shirt, a cigarette and a bottle of booze.

Our homage to the man whose ability to change whilst remaining himself has been a massive influence on us. There are many legends in the music industry but for us, there is no greater than the mighty Dave. We’ve included all things Bowie, whether that is original songs, covers, backing vocals, production work or reworks we made, to attempt to give you the full scope of the man’s genius.

Inspiration to musicians, artists, designers and people like you and me, David Bowie transformed music and the art of performance in his own peculiar way.
He questioned a china girl if there’s life on Mars, invited Ziggy Stardust to dance in the streets – maybe in a Suffragette city, even though Lucy can’t dance – and said “Louie, Louie, go home, because when you rock ‘n roll with me, it ain’t easy.”
Sweet thing, telling lies, for a girl like you, is like a magic dance in this modern love, because you’re young in this criminal world. A prisoner of love, a queen bitch who think everything’s alright, but knows it’s hard to be a saint in the city. Julie and Janine got fame by telling lies, while John and Joe saw what was really happening – they were growin’ up and realized it was time to get real.
It was time for changes and they learned not to be afraid and don’t look down when reality is always crashing in the same car. But most importantly, they now know that we all can be heroes, even if for just one day.
Who says you can’t get no satisfaction for only 0,99 cents? Yesterday, I got mine. Sure I’d rather be there in person, but since tickets sold out in a few minutes – plus my private jet wasn’t available at the time to take me to Newark – I watched this little gig online.
Still have no words to describe the whole thing, but I surely can’t complain about the quality of sound and HD video – even got to see Chris Rock, Sarah Jessica Parker, Terry Richardson and Gaga enjoying the show. By the way, Gaga was probably hooked on the bad shit, never seen a bitch jump so much in heels like those…
The Black Keys, John Mayer and that guy with a hat I forgot the name, Bruce Springsteen and so many more guests…
Sorry about some pictures, but since I could not pause the image to take the snap shots, some of them got a bit blurry. I am completely in love with the b&w pic I took from Mister Richards! ❤
